Aperol Betti

★ 4.4 · 63 ratings in Cocktail Art

The Aperol Betti is a refreshing, bitter-sweet sparkling cocktail that combines the herbal notes of Aperol with fresh citrus juices and crisp prosecco. It is an excellent choice for a brunch drink or a late afternoon aperitif. The combination of orange and grapefruit juices brightens the bitter orange profile of the liqueur, while prosecco adds a lively, celebratory effervescence.

How to make a Aperol Betti

Shake it in a red wine glass with ice cubes. About 3 minutes.

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add the Aperol, orange juice, and grapefruit juice to the shaker.
  3. Shake well until chilled, then strain the mixture into a red wine glass.
  4. Top up with prosecco and garnish with a half orange slice.

Bartender’s tips

  • For a drier and more complex profile, you can substitute Campari for the Aperol, though it will increase the bitterness.
  • If prosecco is unavailable, a dry Champagne or any dry sparkling wine works beautifully as a substitute.
  • Use freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices to ensure the brightest flavor and best balance against the sweet-bitter liqueur.
